My goal is to inspire.
My greatest joy is using my teaching skills, technical training and choreography to help people of all ages and levels discover their own abilities.
My job is to make everyone look good, and I love my job.
I earned a BA in International Business from UTE University, Ecuador, and performed there with the Falcons Dance Academy. Over the last decade, I’ve studied with Bay Area dance teachers in both private and group classes, including Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Dance Mission and Roco Dance. I’ve enjoyed performing with well-known companies Salsamania, Jass Dance, ODC, Dance Mission and Island Touch, among others. We’ve presented many dance rhythms in local and national events, including the Reno International Dance Festival and the San Francisco Salsa Festival.
I co-founded San Rafael fitness studio, Fit2Day, in 2014.
In 2016, I founded Cedeno Dance Team – multiple, ongoing dance team opportunities for people who love to dance, hone their skills and perform. I’m proud that these amazing teams welcome dancers of all levels and backgrounds to multiple Latin styles. Cedeno Dance performs at many venues throughout the Bay Area.

Dancing with Fernanda in her classes and troupes is delightful and inspiring. She provides detailed feedback, is open to questions, and makes the effort to ensure both steps and underlying technique support my success. We have great fun.
Fernanda is passionate about her dancing and it shows. Her classes are full of energy, great choreography and really fun, and a great workout. She is a great teacher and amazing person! You won't be disappointed.
My husband and I have taken several sessions of Salsa dancing with Fernanda. We love her! She is both a beautiful dancer and excellent teacher. She is able to adapt her instruction to the needs of the group. She provides individual coaching as needed during group sessions. She has strong technical skills and infectious enthusiasm for dance. You could not find a better teacher!
I originally met Fernanda in Zumba classes that she was teaching, but it was clear from the beginning that she was REALLY a dancer, and a great dance instructor! She is very kind and encouraging while teaching students new moves, and her classes are so fun!
I ask about their experience or exposure to dance. I ask what their goal is. Every student is different and has different prospectives.
I have an AA in Dance and I have studied and performed with many well known companies in the Bay Area in local and national events.
All types from very begginers to perfromers.
