I love grammar but in a simple way. A way that makes sense and that it's useful for conversations! I am very creative and I love to see my students enthusiastic during the learning process.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know my students is very important. I focus on their learning progress, and I personalize my classes.
Each person is different, and that makes the class fun and interesting. As everyone learns differently, I use various tools like visuals, auditive, films, and many resources from the internet as well as online books.
I like challenges because I know how hard is it to learn a language. I also had the fortune to have learned English and German as an adult. After 25 years of experience in teaching, I can say that I have the pleasure to see most of my students speak fluently and confidently.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a language teacher for more than 25 years in various countries in Europe and America.
I have been in various language seminars and I earned a language trainer diploma from the Migros Shule Bern in Bern, Switzerland.

The price for my classes is $45.- per 60 minutes
Private classes cost $60.-

When I was 24 I used to live in Hamburg and I was studying German 5 days a week, 5 hours daily. Then some of my friends who were doing their masters in biotechnology and Chemie asked me if I could teach them English in my free time. So I started teaching English, and prior to that, I taught Spanish to other students and stewardesses of Lufthansa.
What types of students have you worked with?
Pilots, Science students in Germany, stewardesses, politicians, USC Berkley philosophy and art teachers, lawyers, nurses, doctors, construction companies, Peet's coffee, Allegro resorts hotels, private classes for children, and Elementary and high school students at schools.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you want to start learning a new language find a teacher who is adaptable, flexible, generous, patient, and creative and the most important is that he/she is someone who loves teaching, and loves giving their knowledge.
