Hello! I teach Japanese Taiko drumming. Usually to groups, but private classes are possible. I teach to all ages from school programs to senior recreation classes. Taiko is a beautiful Japanese art that combines rhythm, dance and martial arts. Truly uniting mind, body and spirit! I lived in Japan and studied Taiko for 20 years and now I lead my own group in Los Angeles and have taught taiko to all ages for 20 years. In addition to all the benefits of taiko, which are many, consisting of physical fitness, improved confidence, better understanding of music and rhythm, your students will also learn about and develop an appreciation for Japanese language and Asian culture, and also, it’s a lot of fun and a great reducer of stress!
