What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give to a student if your looking to become a better drummer or percussionist I would suggest you find what instrument and genre you want to play or learn how to play, then go for it. If you want to learn just one area then you would look for just that teacher for that specific skill. Hire a teacher with the willing to teach with patient.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First students should ask themselves what is it that I want to accomplish? What are my short term/ long term goals as improvements grow in drumming? Does my needs help me grow as a student? These are a few questions to think about before talking to teachers for their needs.
