About

Please resubmit if I missed you. I am producing national TV/Radio show 5 days a week. It can get busy. Thanks.

SDCAP - Film and TV Cold Reading and Performance Workshop. I am a Radio and TV producer with a history in Live performance, Theatre, Film, Music, Circus, Radio and TV. This gives me a unique perspective to help create a strong performer. Someone who can be comfortable and familiar with performing, scene study and Cold Reading Audition Techniques.

I enjoy helping to develop the performers skillset that will allow them to approach any performance enviroment with tools, skills and confidence.

I find that our culture has started to value bravado and confidence over an actual skill set. Our job is to develop the Actor so that they can work or continue to work in a professional enviroment and/or use that skillset in other areas of their life.

Frequently asked questions

The first thing I would like to know is what the student aspires to do within the industry. Film, TV, Theatre, directing, voice over, media personality, music, etc.

The reason is that the technique I teach can be applicable to multiple disciplines. We are focusing on Film / TV / performance cold reading as a direct application and excercise.

However, I introduce the same principles to Voice Over work, singing, media interviews etc.

10 years at San Diego Junior Theatre. Playing piano since age 5, student of Louise B. Henderson. Singing training with Bernardelli and the Seth Riggs Method. 20+ years of Alexander Technique. 5+ years with DJ Sullivan, Michael Shurtleff Technique.

Adult Acting Classes at SDCAP are $25 a class. We can arrange privates and semi-privates based on needs and assesment.

I encourage semi-privates for additional traning. They allow for personalized private lessons at half the cost of a private.

I started teaching shortly after Graduating high school at various levels and disciplines. Ranging from juggling circus, musical direction, improv, performance, coaching and acting.

I came back a few years ago to musical direct Cats, the musical and have been working with students at various levels.

We decided recently to start an acting class since we noticed that certain students needed and wanted training and that a direct professional application was needed.

Kids, Teenagers and Adults. I prefer Teens and Adults with a focus on a direct application. The direct application meaning that they want to perform, audition and do TV, Film, voice over work, music production, etc.

Comic Con in San Diego - Is a great time when both casual fan and professionals in the industry can interact. It's an amazing and inspiring time in San Diego.

You can talk to, meet, interact with some extremely notable figures in the industry.

Almost every teacher can teach you something that is useable. But I would find ask more directly for a plan based on what your goals are.

I know and work with many college graduates who come back to private instruction because they know that they need to continue to sharpen the saw. More importantly they need to work on directly applying their knowledge to acting or performing in the real world.

Finally, ask for some referals. Before working with anyone ask them for a few referrals.

Are you clear on what you want to do?

Great!

Now! What are you willing to do to get there?

Are you willing to pay for lessons, put in the time and effort it takes to get to the level you want to get to?
