About

Hello,

My name is Jushua Mayo Director of Mayo Acro and Dance (MAD). I started MAD to provide a fun and educational way of staying fit and helping dancers with their technique. I provide tumbling, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip-hop classes. As a professor dancer and instructor for over 10 years, I have committed to providing a platform for students to gain access to quality dance classes in the community.

I enjoy providing a fun and safe environment for my students. My students are the number driving factor for me to continue in this industry!

Before meeting Jushua Mayo, I observed his training and choreography for an entire season, hoping that my oldest daughter would one day have the opportunity to work with him. Flash forward to current time, he is now not just a dance instructor to all three of my children, but a mentor as well. I have learned in the few years, he is amazing with beginners, pushes a dancers potential to its fullest, and has a passion that is always striving for the next level. Although Jush can accommodate a beginner or recreational dancer; his skills, experience, and connections in talent scouting also lend the ability for your dancer to grow as a professional dancer if desired. He has a calming with high expectations demeanor . Im so happy my children get to experience a positive male figure while learning amazing skills that will benifit them in all areas of life.

My daughter has been fortunate enough to dance with Josh for more than three years. He has a gift on being able to get the best out of each of his students. I have been blown away how much potential he has found in my daughter and how her self-esteem has increased since she started dancing with him. He takes the time Im getting to know which girl and making them see how talented they are he teaches the students not to give up to work hard to have discipline to be part of a team I could go on and on. We are very blessed to be able to have Mr. Josh as my daughters teacher.
