Miriam is a great zumba instructor and a great person her classes are fun
I am a Zumba enthusiast and well as a Zumba instructor. Over the last 5 years I have taken classes with most of the teachers in San Francisco and I can say with out a doubt Miriam is one of the very best in the city! She is something special. Her Salsa and Bachata are so good! (but so is everything else) She has a very easy teaching style. I see her effortlessly take students from a very simple step to something complex and wonderful in just a few minutes. Everyone leaves the class on a wonderful high. I can not recommend her enough. If you have a chance take her class, you will not be disappointed. San Francisco is lucky to have her in our Zumba community!
I have a wide range of experience in the creative, fitness and mentalh health field.
I like to provide you with a safe, effective and fun experience that challenges you enough to grow and achieve your goals, and it is easy to follow.
As a Zumba isntructor, I am certified in several specialties and authorized to teach Zumba Kids (great for parties, small groups, schools), Zumba Toning, and Aqua Zumba.
I have been dancing and teaching latin dance for several years, and performed with dance groups in several countries.
I also offer dance/movement creative sessions aimed at developing body awareness and a deeper emotional connection with yourself and others. I work from a relational, client centered frame which means that my main goal is to support you in your journey through an enriching and growth oriented experience.
Although as a Latinamerican person, I always enjoyed dancing, I started teaching many years ago while I lived in Africa.
I have worked with children of diverse cultural backgrounds in two continents at schools, summer camps, and after school programs providing arts and dance workshops; youth and adults in private and group classes in diverse organizations and settings across several countries; and with older adults with creative arts and movement.
