Tania Santiago, a native of Salvador, Bahia, founded Aguas Dance Company in 1999 and has been teaching Afro Brazilian dance to all ages throughout the Bay Area since 1997. She leads annual dance intensives to Salvador each winter and for the past 10 years has had an award winning contingent at the SF Carnaval Parade each spring. She is available for performances, collaborations, choreography consulting, workshops and Brazil trip consultation/leading. You can find her teaching at ODC/ Rhythm and Motion studios Tuesday's and Thursday at 8:15 pm and Saturday's at 10:00 . Facebook group : Grupo Tania Santiago

Tania is a very inspiring and talented teacher who can teach people of all levels. Her choreography is remarkable. She has a very evident connection to her culture and country that shines through her dance. As a very respected teacher in the Bay Area, she has brought endless Spirit and grace to her students here. Her classes and drummers give strength! My favorite thing about Tania is her sense humor, she makes her students laugh every time!

I love love love my classes with Tania! Not only does she challenge and inspire us with her dynamic and fun choreography, but she really creates a sense of community and encouragement! Her classes are perfectly appropriate and fun for super beginners to professionals. She has given me many gifts as a dancer and I know that many others feel the same way.

Want to learn from a master teacher from Bahia? Tania is a knowledgable teacher that can work with the novice student to a dancer with lots of experience! I have studied with Tania for many years and still learning. You can learn many forms of Afro -Brazilian dance from one of the best in the Bay area!! So get off that couch and dance!!
