Dance is not only my profession, it's also my passion and cultural background. I get great pleasure and pride in sharing its joys and healthy benefits with people. I've been teaching dance since 1999 and it's kept me healthy mentally and physically.

How did you get started teaching?
Growing up with this dance, I want to share the wide spectrum and richness of what is known in the west as "Bellydance". It's the folk dance of many peoples in the Middle East and has many different styles, flavors and variety.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, genders, skill levels and body types.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My dance company represented Arabic Dance at "The Conference of the Birds". Thirty artists representing ten dance traditions spanning four continents feature in a vibrant, multi-sensory interpretation of the timeless Sufi quest narrative – The Conference of the Birds.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Bellydance is the most ancient core excercise ever invented. It's healthy and natural for the human body. It's very important to be aware of body alignement and move from your skeleton, not the muscles. It's also a celebratory dance. If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should communicate any physical limitations or health issues they have. It's also helpful to communicate your goals any ideas you have upfront.
