I am a native speaker with many years of experience teaching Spanish, ESL, Portuguese, and Latin. I have taught in different schools, academies, colleges, and universities as a graduate student, lecturer, and faculty. I have diversified my experience in the last eight years by teaching in Pre-K to 12th-grade schools. I have taught Span 1-6, AP, IB, Span for Heritage Speakers, Conversational Spanish, and many upper-division courses related to the cross between Language and Culture. In my younger years, I worked as an editor, proofreader, and translator. I am fully available. I have a flexible schedule and I can provide references!!! Double BA in Hispanic Philology and Literature. MA in Spanish and Second Language Acquisition. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with an oral assessment, kind of an informal placement test. We talk about previous learning experience and exposure to the target language and move on from there. This first contact helps me figure out where the learner is in terms of proficiency and what plan to design moving forward.

BA in Hispanic Philology.
MA in Spanish, Second Language Acquistion.
12 years of linguistic teaching experience in the states and 5 abroad.
Expertise in Hispanic American linguistic variations and cultures.
K-12th and college Spanish teaching experience.

As a Spanish language instructor and lecturer in American universities and colleges.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages. I have diversified my teaching style and experience based on the learner's background, strengths and needs. I do not have a preference for a group age. Ultimately reaching different audiences has made me challenge myself and become a better communicator, facilitator, educator, mentor and teacher.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look only for the academically and professionally qualified tutors. The fact that you are a native speaker does not make you a fit for this position.
