About this pro

I am a native Spanish speaker with a neutral accent and vocabulary.

My service stands out because I first like to learn about my students' hobbies, what they like. I truly believe that one of the best ways for people to learn a new language is through relating their lives and interests with the new skill they are developing (reading, speaking, writing). Students are more likely to stay engaged in the tutorings and remember terms when I get into their world!

I like to share my personal experience and relate it to my students' lives while also teaching them Spanish.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to schedule a "breaking the ice meeting". I like to meet them first, in this way we get to know if we are a good match and if I can offer what they are looking for in a coach/teacher.

Also, this is the opportunity to evaluate their level of Speaking skills.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Coach of English as a Second Language at Project SHINE, City College of San Francisco, 2020

I have studied and worked with people from different cultures which has giving me a better understanding of how other languages work.
