I am passionate about storytelling - and am moved by well-told stories. Part of this is the acting, part of this is the writing, part of this is directorial, but I am passionate about it all. I can't imagine doing anything else! I love auditioning, I love working - especially on film and television projects. Creating a character, a person, from scratch is just one of the most fun things you can do!

PRIVATE COACHING: 15 minute free consultation about their background and training; what they hope to achieve. If they want to continue, we set up weekly, bi-weekly or monthly sessions, in-person or online, to learn the nuts and bolts of acting and/or voice-over.

Minor in Drama from SJSU, 25+ years of professional acting experience in SF and LA. Industrials, Commercials, Short Film, Feature Film, Television, voice-over- I've done it all!

I have over 15+ years experience in voice-over as well; I am the voice of BCD Travel, an OEM software product used by Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Pfizer, Home Depot, Deloitte and hundreds of other Fortune 500 companies. I have voiced video games, commercials, characters - you name it!
I still regularly take classes to keep my own skills sharp and to become aware of new techniques and exercises, and I am actively auditioning in the SF and LA markets for theatrical and commercial projects.

How did you get started teaching?
I began by coaching other actors on their audtions and self-tapes for film and television projects. My goal is to help them get the best possible performance and to help them make more interesting, creative choices.
What types of students have you worked with?
Most of my clients are working professional actors; however I have a lot of students who are trying to become professional - to book their first paying job, to find an agent or manager, or to figure out where they fit, from a casting perspective.
I also help non-actors with their presentation skills, confidence building and public speaking skills.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I took my daughter to an LA audition with me - her smiles were amazing and she told me it was "the best day ever." :)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone with a background in acting, with good training, with a passion for the business and for actors. Make sure you have a great connection with this person and that they build your confidence!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do they want to train as an actor?
How will training help them move forward in their career as an actor?
What kind of training do they need? Where are their weak spots?
