Pierre began his violin studies at the age of 8 under the guidance of Li Lin in the Bay Area. Over the next decade, he won multiple local violin competitions such as the Senior Strings Division of the VOCE competition in 2005, and toured and performed with both the California Youth Symphony (CYS) and the San Francisco Youth Symphony Orchestra all over the world. His studies brought him to the New England Conservatory, where he earned his bachelor's in Violin Performance. I have been playing the violin since the age of 7, and have performed in various local recitals through my school years. I have advanced through seven levels of the Certificate of Merit Exam, which tests violin performance and theory. In high school, I was a 3rd chair violinist for the Evergreen Valley Orchestra, and performed at Carnegie Hall, New York in April 2018 where we won the gold prize. As a passion, I enjoy performing classical and modern pieces at my local Sunrise Villa Ivy Park and Oakmont Senior Living Homes.
