Learning to play an instrument involves practicing. Wow, what a stupid sounding statement. Practicing is only marginally profitable unless you know “how” to practice. I could tell you right here, in a few words, how to practice and you might say, “ Well, of course, anyone would know that.” The problem is, knowing and doing it two different things. I like to ask a new player, “What are you hoping to song or melody are you hoping to learn to play?” For me, this way of learning an instrument is a lot more fun than playing scales and arpeggios for years, in hopes to someday being able I to play some of the stuff really want. I have had experience teaching students of all ages and backgrounds, including students on the spectrum or who may need accomodations. I am the electric violinist for After the Rain, and I really enjoy playing around with digital fx and pedals.

Suzuki Music Columbus, founded in 2007, is a dedicated nonprofit organization located in Columbus, Ohio and its surrounding areas. Originally part of Capital University Community Music School, the Suzuki faculty, students, and community took initiative to continue Suzuki education in Central Ohio when the University eliminated the community music school.

I've been performing in the Greater Columbus area for over 20 years; from Classical to Jazz to Irish Fiddle.
