About this pro

Pixel-Flick Entertainment works closely with the independent filmmaking community in their journey to develop & produce new original ideas.  We are working with Local Actors, Writers and Crew to create some incredible new ideas.

I will work with you as a Producer/Director to help you develop into a great character actor by creating a stunning reel to pitch.

The passion I have for this type of lifestyle comes through in my work. It doesn't define me as a person per say, but it is something that lives within me. It has molded me into the person I am today because of the passion I have for the craft.

I love meeting new people who have the same passion. I respect those who take the chance to put themselves out there and open themselves up strictly to entertain others.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First, a simple phone call to introduce myself, then a one hour consultation meeting in person if needed. ( free ) We would meet in Burlingame at a local coffee shop/cafe.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

25 Years in the Film & Television Production Industry. I Primarily work as a Producer/Director. I’m a SAG Actor and write my own screenplays. I love cineatography and will be working on joining the DGA, the WGA and The CInematographers Union within the Year.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

3 Hour Class weekly on weekends in Redwood City. Sometimes on location where we will shoot.

$50 per class/rehersals ( you must work with a partner )

I'd like to book 4 weeks in advance if possble.

How did you get started teaching?

I’m branching out to help actors create a professional portfolio and demo reel. I’m teaching students for the first time to help them prepare themselves to work in a professional atmosphere. We will focus on Auditions, Monologues and Scene techniques with other actors. Blocking for the camera and working with Production Crews. Understanding the lingo and what to expect.

This group will be a so-to-speak support group for the actors for upcoming projects & auditions.

What types of students have you worked with?

Mostly Film Actors and Filmmakers from the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Chicago and Palm Springs, CA.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Sundance Film Festival, The Palm Springs Film Festival, Cinequest and Comic-Con

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Check their demo reels and if you like what you see then meet with the instructor one on one. If everything feels positive, then commit.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Your needs are important, but working with someone who can guide you in the right direction from an outsiders point of view is crucial. You need to be able to keep yourself open to new ideas. You may think you’re better at a specific type of role, but the teacher may see a better role that suits you. My goal is to guide you in the right direction with enough ammunition to help you feel confident when going in for that audition or preparing yourself for that next role.
