Anthony Crivello is not only a Tony Award winning performer, hes a master teacher of acting and musical theatre performance--and a passionate and exceptional communicator. Whether hes working on the ground or through a Zoom or FaceTime session, he has this genuine ability to connect with his students, or with fellow professionals. His knowledge of theatre history, drama/literature, musicals and the theatre industry is also first rate. Recently, Mr. Crivello was a zoom guest artist-teacher in my university class of theatre majors where he delivered a detailed lesson on the solo play. His knowledge and insights were impressive, and he also shared personal experiences to crystalize his teaching points. He added to the class session by also delving into the challenges of being a performer today--whether in musicals, solo plays, on stage and in films. I highly recommend Mr. Crivello. In closing, I will add that he is a long time collaborator, and his energy, library of knowledge on acting, and his commitment to his craft is second to none. He works effectively with all groups; with adult professionals, university students, and teens and kids, too. I look forward to his next guest session with my college students.

My name is Charlie Zicari and I am currently on the Creative Development and Original Programming team at Disney Junior; a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. Ive had the distinct honor of knowing Mr. Crivello since we were introduced thirteen years ago through my former high school theater teacher backstage at Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular, in which Mr. Crivello starred as the title role. Since that time, Mr. Crivello has served as my mentor and Ive been fortunate to witness firsthand his profound, diverse, and singular talents as an actor, singer, writer, director, and teacher in a myriad of vessels; not a jack, but truly a king of all trades within the entertainment business. Mr. Crivello brings pedigree experience, an unrivaled work ethic, and the utmost class to every room or stage. He is a force to be reckoned with, which can be attributed to his passion for the work and most uniquely, his ability to bring the best out of the people involved. Mr. Crivello will always have my highest recommendation.

    Frequently asked questions

    • The first lesson is an introduction and "meet and greet." It is also a chance for me to evaluate what raw acting or singing skills each student may have. We talk and discuss what the student wants to achieve and what the student's goals are.
We begin with a 45 minute class to start on basics.

We work to make the student aware of relaxation in our work, proper singing and vocal techniques including breathing and use of the diaphragm and 'mask of the face,'  tongue placement, placement of the tone and not straining in the neck. We work to develop good singing and acting habits. These may seem foreign at first, but by exposing students young and old to these good habits a shift will eventually occur. Each delivery and performance depends on the medium the actor or singer is working in, be it in film, television, or on stage --- comedy of drama. That is, acting or singing for the screen is much different from acting and singing for the stage, as well as voice-over/microphone technique.

A weekly lesson, with a young student, is a commitment for the parents as well. We want this to be a joy so the student remains excited about learning and performing.
