My name is Rhasaan and I love teaching hip hop dance! I find great joy in teaching dance to all ages. I've been teaching for over 10 years and mostly teach ages 6-14yrs. I teach b-boy/breaking, popping and locking, house, grooves, jazz funk, and contemporary hip hop. I have my Master's in dance and have danced on tour for local artists, film, etc. I also have experience teaching competition teams. If you want to learn the technique of hip hop or improve I'd love to work with you to achieve your goals!
I love seeing the development of talent and/or the enjoyment students receive when dancing. Hip Hop dance is all about being confident and showing swag. I find great joy in seeing students develop confidence, being creative in movements, and taking risk. I also love that its such a great workout without the pains that come with "working out"

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the student by asking what their goals are in terms of dance and what they have seen whether on TV, internet, etc that they would like to learn. I believe classes are all about the students objectives and it is my responsibility as an instructor to provide them with tools to achieve
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been training in dance for over 10 years. I have performed with local artists on tours, special olympics, television, and more. I currently teach courses for children ages 4-14. I am completing my Masters in dance and also have my own Hip Hop based dance company
