I love the work I do! I have always loved music and dancing. It is very rewarding to see people's self esteem and over all confidence grow as they learrn to dance. It is a great way to meet new friends and have a fun socially. It is also a great alternative to the gym because dancing is a great way to burn caleries while having fun.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New clients have the option to pre-register on our website or they can fill out their info. before class at the studio. If a client has a specific need that would best be learned with private lessons we dicuss and answer all questions usually by phone and then set an appointment.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have learned from some of the best teachers especially in the latin field. Hector currently proforms with SalsaMania out of Oakland taking part in performances in San Francisco and L.A. Training has come from World Champions in the Latin Dance. Although we specialize in Latin Dance we have takin certification courses on Ballroom as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Classes run 1.5 - 2 hrs. per class. Group Lessons range from $65-80 for 5 weeks, 2-3 times a week depening on the class. There is also Drop-in rates of $14-20 depending on the class. Private lessons are sold individually for $80 1.5hr. session 1 person or a couple. We also have a package of 5 privates for $365.
How did you get started teaching?
Hector started as student learning as much as we could because it was so much fun. Eventualy after spending so much time at the studio, he was offered to take the program to become a teacher. As for myself I met Hector as one of my instructors and also fell in love with the dance and him. We were married and started our own dance company in 2011. We have both continued our dancing education with various great teachers.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work primarily with teens - adults. We have worked with many people who in the beginning say they have 2 left feet. Sometimes this does seem to to the case. But with a effort and persistance anyone can learn!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I always enjoy having our social dances. We try to have them every couple of months. It is a chance for students to come together and practice what they have learned. We also usually have a few students do a performace and their family or friends can come watch. They are always a lot of fun!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Just try one class and you will be hooked. Dancing is so much fun and many people hold back due to embarrasment of not knowning how. People often will say they wish they had started sooner. If you watch people dancing with envy and say I wish I could dance like them...you can!
