What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to connect with them via text or phone first to get a sense of who they are and what they want to get out of the process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a theatre arts teacher and acting coach since 1994, was raised in the film and television industry, and have a BA from Vassar, an MA from San Jose State University and am well versed in the teaching of acting technique from Stanislavsky to Meisner, Michael Chekhov to Adler to many hybrid acting forms and techniques.

How did you get started teaching?
I felt a strong calling to this work and began in college. I run the Theatre Arts program at Cupertino High School and have since 2003 and was Teacher of the Year in 2018.
What types of students have you worked with?
Everyone from 4 year olds to adult working actors in their golden years. Casual theatre students to collegr auditions. Working Broadway film and television actors.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I see wonderful boosts in self confidence every day in my students! I also love it when their hard work pays off and they book work as actors based on my coaching.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Talk to teachers and make sure you feel comfortable and motivated!
