Hello! I am a classically trained pianist with experience in singing and being the sectional leader in a choir. My teaching curriculum is very adaptive focusing on a students goals and weaknesses. I use a mostly classical approach which can be implemented into any genre of piano. My goal is to teach a student to be a complete musician which means I also will teach music theory and singing to help assist their skills as a pianist.

I teach classical and popular piano to students of all ages. I have 45 years of teaching experience at the private and college level and have worked with students from beginning through advanced levels. I love a variety of students in my studio and appreciate the challenge that each student brings. I enjoy the “pedagogy” or art of teaching and have studied this in my masters and doctoral work. I also bring music theory and technique into each lesson as students learn more than just how to play the piano.
