About
I have 20+ years experience in working with actors as a coach, teacher, director and producer. I fuse a deep knowledge in realistic acting with specialities in physical theatre/mime/clown and an investment in working with BIPOC/LQBTQ++ actors, helping own their bodies and develop presence.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While completing my PhD in Performance Studies at UC Berkeley, I had the pleasure to teach the Introduction to Acting Course on four separate occasions while also directing MainStage productions. I have been a Diversity Fellow at the Rhode Island School of Design where I taught classes on performance training for artists and designers. I also spent three years running and directing an alt-performance venue, curating and promoting everything from classic plays to improv shows to devised new work. I also completed conservatory training in France in mime, clown and devising and hence pair a deep knowledge of method with a more body-based, outside-in approach to actor training.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a set price although I tend to work on a sliding scale from $50-$100/hr depending on the student and the type of work required. Please inquire for more details.
How did you get started teaching?
As far back as I can remember, I have always been teaching and learning simultaneously. I tutored in high school, taught in summer camp during college, and after college taught students with differing abilities and ages. I completed a PhD mostly for my love of teaching and still receive deep joy from watching a student understand the fundamentals of performance.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children, teens, college students, adults new to the field and continuing professionals. I have taught acting for auditions, acting as drama-therapy and have work with a variety of people with special needs. As a Queer, non-binary Arab Jew, I am also an expert in working with people from diverse backgrounds understand how they can harness their inner performer, even if they have never seen anyone like them in the limelight.
