About

“Mark helped bring out the best in me. He was an invaluable part of my team at the height of my career.”

– Dennis Novikov, former world #119 men’s professional tennis player

“I’ve been playing competitive tennis for over 40 years, and Mark has truly been a game changer! He works with your natural tendencies to maximize your game in the shortest time possible—whether you’re a beginner or an ‘old dog’ like me. Most importantly, we have fun every minute of every lesson. He’s great with kids as well. I recommend him without reservation. He was on an NCAA Division I championship team for a reason!”

– TV Talk Show Host, Dr. Phil

“If I didn’t have to actually run the Tennis Channel, I’d be on the court with Mark all the time! He’s a terrific teacher and great fun to be around.”

– Ken Solomon, President, Tennis Channel

Hi everyone! My name is Mark, and I’m a private tennis coach. I grew up playing junior tournaments across Northern California. I went on to attend USC, where I served as both hitting partner and manager for the Division I men’s tennis team—we won an NCAA National Championship while I was there in 2014. After college, I began teaching private lessons throughout the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Areas. I also worked on and off with a professional player, even coaching him at the 2017 US Open. Fun fact: I’ve been the longtime coach (10+ years) of both TV talk show host Dr. Phil and Tennis Channel President Ken Solomon. Another fun fact: I have a win (from back in our junior days) over a current professional men’s player who has been ranked as high as #37 in the world—and is still in the top 100. I enjoy working with kids and adults, beginners to advanced, and everything in between!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,

Mark

Mark is the best. Not only does he know everything about every stroke, but he knows how to break it down in simple and clear ways so that you feel challenged but not overwhelmed. Highly recommend!!

Mark is a perfectionist. He is very precise. I enjoy this about working with him. He doesnt want you to settle for being average.
