Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Every player is different, i.e. each has certain qualities that make them different. My goal when I teach is to figure out their strengths and weaknesses, and build on both. Working continuously on making their strengths even bigger weapons for them to use and to make their weaknesses strong enough that they can't hurt you when you play. I believe however it all starts with good technique, like building a house from the ground up. If the base is there then the rest is easy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently play at a high level as I play on the tour. I know the difficulties of this game, because I have experienced a lot of good and tough times. As such, I believe that through my experiences I am better able to help a player in order for them to become better and not make the same mistakes.
How did you get started teaching?
I play professional tournaments throughout the year, but when I am home and have free time, I like to coach other individuals. I have been with a lot of top ATP players and I like sharing the knowledge that I learned from them and passing it on to other players,
