I teach a wide variety of students ranging from beginners to advanced, with my youngest student being 5 years old and my oldest in his late 50's. I believe whether you are a beginner, thinking about music as a hobby or someone who wishes to pursue music as a career, I am positive I can cultivate and grow your musical capabilities based on your specific needs.
Providing my students with knowledge from a musician who is actively furthering their career is important to me, I want my students to know that I am aggressively pushing the boundaries of drumming here in the Denver music scene. I consistently perform with jazz combos, rock, metal and even some electronic or hip-hop artists along side of my teaching business.
Music, specifically drumming, is my passion. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to make a living performing & teaching drums. Seeing a student work on a new song for months and finally get to the point where they are ready to perform it is a truly great feeling. Many of my students have been with me since they started playing drums, I feel very grateful to maintain such fantastic students.

When I get a new student I generally like to do a free 30 minute lesson to get a feel on how much experience they've had on the drums. If they're brand new, I have a beginner cirriculum that I like to follow. I really like the opportunity to find out about my student's musical tastes, then we begin learning whatever song they're into at the time.
From there I create a weekly lesson plan for each student based on their wants/needs. I strive to help them achieve their goals, whether that's being able to jam with friends, perform live, prepare for a recording session, or prep for a college audition.
Bachelor in Music Performance & Music Business from University of Colorado Denver
I have been playing drums for 15 years, toured throughout the US and have performed in a wide variety of acts ranging from Jazz, Rock, Metal, Pop, Folk and Hip-hop/Electronic.
I charge on a monthly basis, if you average 4 lessons a month at either $30 per 1/2 hour or $50 per hour:
$120 per month - (4) 1/2 hour lessons
$200 per month - (4) 1 hour lessons
I started teaching back in high school for fun when my neighbor wanted to learn. From there I've expanded my teaching business alongside my constantly busy performance schedule.
What started out as a hobby when I was younger has become a full fledged business that allows me to play music full time without a "desk job"
I love my job!
My youngest student is currently 6 and my oldest student is in their mid 60's.
