About
I am currently a retired public school drama teacher with 28 years of teaching experience, and a Masters degree in Theatre Education. I have worked with students to create characters for scene study, improv work, full length plays and Shakespeare performances.
I have also worked with adults looking to move into the world of public speaking, as well as those who wanted to improve their comfort level with speaking in a social forum.
I love being in the room when one of my students overcomes a challenge and realizes what s/he has to share. It's magic every time.
Watching the faces of my students when they realize that it's not as scary as they thought to get up and show off how spectalar they are. A little practice, a few pointers and they are on their way.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A meeting of the minds is a good place to start. I have a survey for my clients to fill out so that we know where we are starting, and what we are trying to achieve. Then we will select material and, based on the student's needs, focus on script analysis, character analysis and performance.
