I bring over 40 years of performance experience and over 30 years of teaching experience to my students. I also hold a Music Education degree from New Mexico State University. All lessons are designed with one thing in mind... To help students achieve their musical goals. I am an active performer, playing often with my 10-piece funk and dance band called "Collective Groove" that features some of the best musicians in the Colorado Springs area.

I am a multi-instrumentalist 9guitar, horns, bass guitar, etc.) so I often play along with my students using a bass guitar. This affords me the ability to discuss various aspects/degrees of listening and gives students a better idea of playing with another live musician. I've had a lot of success teaching new students about the blues as accompanying students with bass guitar allows for many rich conversations about blues progressions.

I have professional recording capabilities in my studio and often record my students with professional tracks, using the song-learning process as a way to help students develop their drum and guitar skills.

I love music and I love the craft of drumming and guitar playing! I enjoy the opportunity to share what I know and pass it along to my students, regardless of their age or skill levels. I enjoy the process of sharing music and learning about musical artists my students like. I have made many friends with my students and their families and enjoy the relationships made over my many years of teaching!
