How did you get started teaching?
I have a younger sister, and I used to play school all the time, and as I got older I realized that I have been passed down knowledge from some of the greatest practitioners in this field, and I want to make sure their knowledge lives on through others.
What types of students have you worked with?
My youngest client is 4, and my oldest is 89.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was leading a theatre workshop for some aspiring singer songwriters, and after the class I had them draw a picture to express how they feel. One student drew two pictures, one being dark and ther other bright. She explained that before the workshop she felt lost and confused in her craft, but now she feels like she is on a path to true inspiration.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Research the person you want to work with to make sure you are a good fit for one another.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask your self what are your goals? Where do you want to be? And what are your obstacles?
