FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I begin by asking questions about what kind of Acting they want to explore. Then I give students a plan of attack. We talk about the importance of basics of acting and how to bring the text to life.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

MFA-Acting from the University of Houston's Professional Actor Training Program

Atlantic Acting School

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School

BA-Musical Theatre Performance-Colorado Mesa University

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$12-15 per hour

$30 per Lesson

How did you get started teaching?

I started getting the teaching bug when I was working with Imagination Theatre in Chicago, IL. We used short scene sketches to help teach to the students what to do if they are getting bullied, abused, or disrespected in any way. Making that kind of difference really left a lasting impression on me.

What types of students have you worked with?

From an age range of 6-75 years old.

English as a Second Language

Emotionally and behaviorally Challenged Students

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Recently, a past student of mine reached out to me and told me that he won the "best supporting actor" award for his role as Jim in "The Glass Menagerie" at the local community theatre awards.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Make sure the teacher can tailor courses to what you want to achieve. Also, it is helpful if you have goals in mind.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Do you teach a certain style of acting?

How are you different from other teachers?

What tangible skills will I obtain from studying with you?

How will this benefit me in every day life?

What else can you help me with?
