My extensive experiences within the professional music arena and as a music educator have given me the capacity to tailor lessons specific to each student. I have worked with entry-level musicians as well as longtime players to increase their abilities using practical methods in a light and encouraging atmosphere. Lessons bring results using methods I've learned and incorporated not only in College as a music education major but also through my own deep commitment to mastering the drum set.

I asses the students skill level and goals, then we begin structured lessons using instructional drum books as well as play-along time with music the student enjoys. Lessons are tailored for each student. Students generally start with a combination of stick control exercises using a practice pad (I can help with that purchase if needed), and practical drum set instruction. The student will be assigned goals for practice time in between lessons - again, realizing that each student will have different capacities.
I began playing drums professionally in high school and became a music education major at the University of Northern Colorado. I eventually moved to Los Angeles where I worked at every major recording studios and toured all over the world with professional music industry bands. During this time I constantly pursued my passion for teaching music. I love giving lessons, it has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my life as a musician.
