Mountain Kids

Mountain Kids is an early childhood learning and activity center in Fort Collins, CO, offering movement-based programs for children of all ages and abilities. Founded in 1976 by Ron and Mary Baretta as Mountain Gymnastics Training Center, it has served Northern Colorado for more than 50 years. Programs include gymnastics, dance, cheer, Ninja Zone, preschool and Pre‑K, swim lessons, summer day camps, open gym, birthday parties, and a homeschool gymnastics option. Mountain Preschool, established in 1986, provides a positive and structured environment for ages 3–5 and includes weekly gymnastics as part of the curriculum. Swim instruction is available for ages 6 months to 12 years. The organization emphasizes flexible participation with short enrollment terms rather than long contracts. Classes are organized by age and skill level, with evaluation-based progression in select programs. Fort Collins operations and business development have been led by Jeni Baretta since 2018. In addition to ongoing classes, Mountain Kids offers seasonal workshops and camps that give families a range of options throughout the year.
