I have taught several WCS lessons with Maria and they have always been so much fun! She cares about technique but making it fun for her students. She is very committed to sharing her passion for dance and it’s always been a pleasure working with her. Also she is very creative and has a very unique style! I definitely recommend either working with her as a co-instructor or learning from her! You won’t be dissapointed!

Maria is by far the best dance instructor I have worked with. She is classically trained with a strong foundation in a wide range of dances. The greatest improvement I have made in my dance has been through working with her. She understands dance movement with high technical precision that she is able to explain with ease. She is charming and fun to work with. I look forward to every lesson with her!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First,I wonder what does student want ,expects from lessons, his background. I am finding student's strong sides, that's always very helpful. Then using this info we are creating dances in order to enjoy, compete or perform. I wanna help student to feel happy while dancing

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

20 years of ballroom training, 5 years of West Coast Swing training

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

60$ per hour at my place

+ studio rent if we need to

If I come to student- up to 100$ depending on distance to travel

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching in 2016 group classes and privates in Phoenix because dance studio owner (where I was taking lessons) told me I should start teaching and gave me this beautiful opportunity to open myself as dance instructor.

What types of students have you worked with?

different ages from 14 until 90, with different goals (having fun, compete, perform) and abilities. Sometimes people take dance lessons in order to feel more confident

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
