Hi there! I'm Aileen and I have been teaching music since 1996. I graduated with a degree in Piano Performance and in Music Therapy. I also minored in voice. I taught the Associate Boards of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory curriculum preparing students for examinations conducted by visiting professors from London. My students have always garnered high grades in these tests (Distinction and Merit). As a studio we have participated in the greater metro Denver's offerings of student music activities in festivals, sonatina competitions and student achievement days with other teachers and students. I’m Dr Shea but people call me Shea. I have a Doctorate of Musical Arts from CU Boulder and recently retired as a high school band and orchestra teacher. I enjoy working with kids and love music so teaching is a great calling for me! I also play professionally in orchestras along the front range, including the Opera Colorado Orchestra in Denver. I recently bought a brand new grand piano and enjoying teaching piano lessons at home but can also travel to your house for an extra fee.
