About
I practice the profession I am teaching.
Educating artists on how to tell a good story. Choosing your material is key to auditioning. Knowing why you are speaking the text is essential to entering or getting on stage the room with confidence.
I enjoy getting to know someone and helping them discover characters they would like to play.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I worked with a college student on her NYU audition. She worked tirelessly for 3 hours on her August Willson and Tracey Letts monlogues. She was only 18 years old and I was so blown away by her courage and craft. I cannot wait to see her on stage or write a part for her myself. It was a joy to be in that room.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they listen to you. No matter how much of an expert they are on the subject matter.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How serious they are about the craft they are considering. Our time is of value too.
