    Frequently asked questions

Our typical process for working with a new student is answering questions on our registration system as well as from our new student intake form where we gain a deeper understanding for the student's previous experience and artistic and learning interests. We cater to the needs of each student based on their experience, skill level, and short-term and long-term goals.

Our Executive Director Stephanie Scuderi is  Director of all Programs, Mainstage Director, and the primary resident voice and acting teacher. Stephanie holds four degrees in the field: a Master of Music in Vocal Performance: Musical Theatre from New York University, a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Miami, a post-master's Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy from New York University, and a Certificate of Distinction in Vocal Pedagogy from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee as well.

Our standard pricing for private lessons is $45 per 30-minute lesson with most Spotlight Arts staff, $60 per 30-minute lesson with Stephanie Scuderi, or $90 per hour lesson.

Stephanie started teaching voice and acting directly after her completion of her undergrad at University of Miami. Stephanie is now a BFA Musical Theatre professor of Voice at Temple University and holds a private studio year-round for singers and actors of all ages.

Between Stephanie's lesson studio at Spotlight Arts, being a BFA Musical Theatre professor of Voice at Temple University, as well as holding a private studio year-round, Stephanie works with singers and actors of all ages who are both professional, pre-professional, and amateur. Stephanie has worked with students as young as 6 years old and as old as 70 years old! Stephanie also is a singing voice specialist who works with injured/rehabilitative voices as well.

Stephanie's most recent event she is very fond of is her starring role as Alice in Frank Wildhorn's most recent revised version of the musical WONDERLAND, directed by Tony Nominee Gabriel Barre, and music direction by Hamilton's Ana Flavia Zuim. Stephanie was coached by Frank Wildhorn himself in this production, including added and revised songs from the UK touring production.
