Chris is invested in providing an individually tailored curriculum to each student's lesson, specific to their needs and goals for development. He is happy teaching a wide variety of student interests. -Learn your favorite song, how to read music, have a child that wants to excel in school band, I am the man for the job! -Learn different grooves/styles, fills, rhythm reading, music theory! -Recently had students get into regional band/orchestra. -Great with young students since my day job is a Special Education in a k-2 Public School. -Newly renovated drum studio with two drum sets facing each other, mallet instruments, hand drums, acoustical paneling, and sound system. I have taught private students for over 11 years and have taught students as young as five, college age students at Boston University, as well as students into their 50s! As a professional musician I have toured all over the US to almost all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, Venezuela and Brazil. I recently performed at the Boston Garden with singer Andrea Bocelli and have also performed at arenas such as Mohegan Sun, Verizon Center, AT&T Center, Amway Center, Resch Center, Rogers Arena (home of the 2010 Winter Olympics), Target Center, Verizon Wireless Arena, Las Vegas Arena, and the Chesapeake Energy Arena. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First lesson is always FREE! This allows for the student to see if my teaching style fits their learning style.
On their first lesson I evaluate their ability and what their goals are for lessons.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
First lesson is FREE! After the first lesson I charge $25 per half an hour and $45 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching drum students when I was in high school. I felt that I had learned a lot about percussion/drums and developed a real passion to sharing my skills with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as five years of age all the way to students in their sixties. I have experience teaching college at Boston University as well as experience with younger students k-2 from being a special education tutor at an elementary school. I feel that I am VERY patient and able to work with the younger students, special needs student, or the advanced student looking to audition for music school and regional ensembles.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
This past December I played for Andrea Bocelli at the Boston Garden!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would try a free lesson and see if your learning style matches the teachers teaching style. Go in with an open mind and a never give up attitude.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What am I trying to get out of lessons. What do I want to learn in my lesson.
