Kate Katcher is an all-around theater professional. Artistic Director of Stray Kats Theatre Company, Adjunct Professor of Theater at Western CT State University, University of Bridgeport, and Stray Kittens theater workshops. She brings her experience as an actor, director and playwright to help students explore theatrical material, develop strong communication skills, and make personal, honest connections when performing.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Varies according to need. I work with groups to explore improvisation, scene work, developing basic skills, and even creating plays through improvisation. I also work with individuals to develop audition material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA in Acting, Boston University. MFA in Creative and Professional Writing (Playwriting), Western CT State University. Addition acting study with the late Wynn Handman (Meisner), Joanna Merlin (Michael Chekhov), and others.
