What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We sit down and talk about their goals, figure out what level they are currently at, how much time they have to practice and then we create a plan for success!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been teaching drums privately for over 7 years. I've been a professional drummer for the past 4 years, during which time I have also taught extensively at various School of Rock locations.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am flexible with pricing and do bulk lesson discounts, but I typically charge $100 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I've always been a teacher! I had my first job teaching Origami when I was in the 5th grade. In high school I began teaching drums to some of the other kids in my neighborhood. Though college I taught on the side and worked as a TA in a number of classes.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students 5 years old to students in their 60s!
