The most enjoyable part of training with students is watching them expand. Whether it'd their first successful audition, or them landing a job interview, the reward comes in the successes of those I train. To be part of someone else's ascension is the biggest reward as an instructor.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is easy: jump in. We'll have you do a monologue/speech/conversation, whichever directly correlates to your goal. Then we'll chat and lay out a step by step system for you to match your progress with your mission. I am interested in helping you develop systems to achieve your goals while you are training. That way, once we have completed our 4/8/12 session process, you have the tools to continue rising beyond.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team: Tẹmídayọ Amay is our founder and primary acting instructor. They received their B.A. in Theatre from the University of Maryland, where they served as Creative and Performing Arts Scholar for their four-year education. After receiving a full tuition scholarship in acting, they quickly became a department staple at the University of Maryland. In 2013, they were named Artistic Director of Kreativity Diversity Troupe. In 2016, they decided to return to the stage and have quickly gained success in the Washington DC Theatre community, working with Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, The Shakespeare Theatre Company, Round House Theatre Company and Signature Theatre Company. They believe that performance of any kind is a skill that anyone can learn to hone in on and use to their greatest power.

The TONY Package. Four one-hour sessions to cover foundational Theatre skills. Coaching included--but not limited to--beat work, scene work, acting with a partner, and introduction to monologues and text analysis. This is the perfect package for those looking to take the first leap into acting.

The EMMY Package. Eight one-hour sessions. Covers foundational theatrical skills listed within the Tony package and much more! Once we go over the basics of Theatre, we'll dive into more in depth text analysis, monologues, and begin building your acting book. Coaching included--but not limited to--beats, movements, "What do I do with my hands?" and other in depth scene study. It is essential for every serious actor to have both a base understanding of performance and and how to make every scene in every play work for them.

The Oscar Package. Twelve one-hour sessions. The quintessential package for every actor looking to take their career to the next level. Hone in on your craft, and learn how this industry can bring you the success you desire and deserve. We'll review foundational acting technique, scene study, and character development. In addition, we'll go over booking the gig from initial email to closing night. Coaching included--but not limited to--auditioning, building a repertoire, the best way to market yourself, and getting yourself into the room where it happens, best practices to book while you work. This package is a must for you to make a lasting career as an actor in DC, New York, and LA.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Choosing to study Theatre can be big a step for many. When I decided to make Theatre my career, I came in with the little training I had. Learning on the job, show by show, has illuminated the best way to make it in this industry. It took me 5 years to get where I am today. I want to sae you time, by sharing with you the skills, tips, and advise I've picked up along the way. Your acting can be everything you want it to be. And I'll give you the tools to make it so.
