Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get an idea of what the specific goals of the student are and their background of any training and/or experience. From there, we customize a program together keeping in the forefront how each part of the training moves them toward those goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Musical Theater, Howard University College of Fine Arts.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
It's a gift I recognized at a very young age as it came so natural to me and those I taught were so receptive!
What types of students have you worked with?
Live and recording vocalists, film, stage television and voiceover actors, on camera hosts and corporate executives wishing to polish their delivery through professional development.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm fond of every event that reflects a spirit of unity among diverse groups of people. It's humaity at its best!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would encourage a student to ask questions that are meaningful to you even if you feel they may not be pertinent to the training. There's a lot that can be learned on both sides beyond the art form. It's all relative.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would recommend the student think about their commitment level and express that upon meeting with a teacher. Looking to study the craft as a hobby is much different than studying toward a profession. The teacher will be much better able to assist you in your goals when they are clear of your expected outcome.
