Contact me for more information! I would love to see you grow and express yourself through dance. It's saved my life and I want to save yours.
Dance has been apart of my life for over 15 years. It lets me express and free myself from everything else in the world. I love the energy, emotion and exercise dance brings.
I started teaching back in college, where I was also apart of my college dance team. It has been 3 years since I have started teaching and I love every minute with my clients and classes.
I also will begin teaching an Adult Beginners Hip Hop Class on Saturdays at 9:30am, starting Nov 10th.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to introduce myself to get to know each other a little bit during our stretching portion of the lesson.
After I will see where your dance level is at; for example if you tell me you have danced before but it has been a while then I will take you across the floor to see where your skill level is at such as leaps. (I always demonstrate before making a dancer do it.)
If you have never danced before I will start introducing the fundamentals and work on technique from there.
I will not work on ballet if you are with me for hip hop.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been dancing since I was in preschool. I learned all styles growing up.
I joined the Benedictine College Dance Team where I also minored in Dance. To minor in dance I had to take classes on how to teach all levels, ages and multiple styles. I also choreographed a routine for my dance team and a solo performance at the end of the year as well.
I taught at Raven School of Dance where my student/students would perform at the dance recital at the end of the year. I taught an adult contemporary class at Serenity Now Yoga in 2017. Now I am teaching an Adult Hip Hop Class and private lessons at 360 Wellness Club.

How did you get started teaching?
I was first teaching while I was in college and after college in 2016 I realized I wanted to continue teaching because I missed it.
Again, dance has been a part of my life for YEARS. Over 20 years to be exact.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages: Pre-school to adults.
All levels: beginners, intermidate, and advanced.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to hire a teacher who you connect with. Sometimes a teacher is too stict and does not listen to what you are needing. It is imporant to hire someone who understands your level and what you expect to achieve.
I like to be friends with my students. I want to get to know them and make them feel comfortable enough to tell me something is too hard.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Does this teacher have the qualifications I am looking for?
What kind of exercise am I needing?
Will this teacher be the one to help me reach my goals?
Anything along the lines of, is this who I am looking for?
