My name is Yvona Gonzalez and I have been dancing for 17years now. I have my degree in dance performance from Valencia College. While in college I was part of Valenica Dance Theater Company and was able to travel the US taking different workshops on many different types of dance and even yoga. I specialize in teaching and choreography. I have performed many different places around the US and have taught children and adults for the past 8 years in Florida. I have studied every genre from ballet, modern, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, acrobatics, belly dancing, break dancing, lyrical, flexibilty and stretching, zumba, pole dancing, burlesque and ballroom. I also have my certification in barre fitness, which is a low impact workout for those who are injured or just don't want the bulky look from lifting big weights. Barre fitness targets deep into the muscles and works on stenghting, toning and flexability.
I enjoy seeing the progression of others goals. It makes me happy seeing them happy.
Yvona is very dedicated to her art and is passionate about teaching it. She makes sure to work around your comfort level and is very knowledgeable when it comes to the body and what it should be doing. I have learned so many great things that i use in my every day routine! Very knowledgeable woman when it comes to nutrition and whats best for the body.
I first explain the foundamentals for that required class then begin to teach based on their experience.

I am open to helping out the student as much as I can.
I was a senior choreographer my senior year in high school. I got the privilege to teach my fellow classmates and choreographed four different productions that year. Seeing my ideas come to life made me fall in love.
All different types! From ages 2-60years old.
I am very fond of the Valencia College dance concerts. They ask me to come back ever year to choreograph for the Summer concert and Choreographer showcase.
If the teacher is not giving you precise criticism then they care more about the money then actually watching you succeed to be better.
