About

A graduate of UCF, Glenn has been performing professionally since 2008. His passion has always been the art of live music, both playing and teaching, on numerous instruments. He has been working as a full-time musician since 2014, playing both drums and bass in multiple bands around Central Florida, including Deep Fried Sugar Cubes, Cat Ridgeway & the Tourists, Little Mookie & the Halfpints, and the Buddy Blues Band.

-

Glenn has played alongside national performers such as Bunky Garrabrant (Beebs & her Moneymakers), Jeremy Birdsall (Rico Monaco), and Bob Carr as well as opened for Rick Derringer, John Mayall, Chris Simmons, and Leon Russell.

Glenn has been an instructor for multiple drumlines as well as consistently given private drum and bass lessons since 2009. His teaching style involves helping students get comfortable and confident enough with both their instrument and complex rhythms to help them discover their own sound; this includes being able to "look up and listen in" to react to everything else that happens in a dynamic live performance. Although Glenn has an existing lesson plan for every instrument, each student's curriculum is customized based on what music/style inspires the student and keeps them enjoying playing.

In addition to private lessons, Glenn currently teaches percussion bass guitar piano and saxophone at:

Sam Ash Music (Lee Road)

Music & Arts (Sanford)

Music & Arts (Millenia)

Getting students to surprise themselves with how quickly their playing can sound confident and become a continually rewarding process.

Frequently asked questions

Get them playing something they can recognize as soon as possible, show them how music can be a very simple step-by-slightly-more-complex-step process.

Taught multiples drumlines and private students since 2008;

Currently teach at 3 separate music centers across Orlando.

In August of 2016, I had two different students (one drum and one bass) get up onstage to jam with me, the drummer going from never having played drumset before to being able to solidly hold her own onstage!
