About

I have been a private vocal coach for many years and my extensive experience (over 40 years)and education(2 music degrees) help me bring a level of expertise and passion to the training of my students. I help students reach their musical goals in a wide variety of styles/genres. Foundational vocal technique (and bel canto technique) is taught, along with audition prep, stage presence, and performing skills.

Broadening the range, resonation and projection are taught as are dynamic expressiveness and singing with passion and clarity. I help students prepare for recording EP’s and albums. I am a recording artist and have been a professional performer for many years, so I can bring my experience and expertise to help students meet their individual musical goals.

I have a well-equipped home studio in Longwood, Fl., where I teach in person voice lessons.

While working for Walt Disney World as a singer and dancer in various shows in The Magic Kingdom, I started working with several of my co-workers to help them with their technique and stamina. I opened my own home studio in Winter Park after I left Walt Disney World as an entertainer. I taught there for 41 years and I moved my home studio to Longwood, Florida, 14 months ago. I teach in person lessons in my new location in Seminole Co.
I teach ages 7 and up. A wide range of styles are taught including: Pop, R&B, Rock, Christian, Gospel, Jazz, and Musical Theatre. Classical and Opera are also genres that are taught. Hobby and professional aspirations are both exceptable reasons to study.
I have attended several musicals that my students are starring in the last few months. These have been school musicals, college musicals, and community theatre. A Chorus Line, Into The Woods, The Wizard Of Oz, Cinderella, and Sweeney Todd.
Good Teachers have degrees and credentials in their respective areas of expertise that qualify them to teach others how to sing. Just because a teacher is a good singer doesn’t mean they can communicate to others how to improve their singing and what changes to make and how to implement them.
Students may have short term and long term musical goals. Let me know what they are so that I can direct you how to achieve them.
