About this pro

We teach people of all abilities -- from five-year-old learners to active seniors to elite athletes -- how to play tennis and improve their mobility, athletic performance and technique through the Volt Method, a unique process of connecting thoughts to actions and to internal feedback.

We work intentionally toward developing athletes and improving performance by following a three-step process linked by internal feedback. The skills practiced here will accelerate progress and build a solid foundation for other areas of motor learning. Serving Apopka and Central Florida, Tennis Galaxy’s programs are offered at the Northwest Recreation Complex in Apopka.

Coach Peter was incredible at analyzing my movement and helping me think through the mechanics of my game, then make intentional and productive improvements.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We speak by phone first to determine the best possible class or type of lesson. We start on-court with an enjoyable hit to assess comfort with the racket, physical abilities and experience in the game. Then we get down to teaching and playing :-)

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Head Coach Peter Fazekas is certified as an Elite Professional (Professional 1) by the USPTA and has more than 30 years experience teaching tennis to players of all ages and compeitive levels. Coaches Tony Raney and Kelly Morphy are PTR Level 1-certified tennis instructors. All instructors at Tennis Galaxy are Safe Play-approved by the USTA.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Classes range from $11 to $20 per class. Private and small-group lessons range from $50 to $80 per hour.

What types of students have you worked with?

Our oldest "adult learner" right now is 83 years old. Our youngest beginner is 5. We have elite juniors in our program and are very proud of our players who have gone on to compete in college. Our classes and lessons include young moms, retired men, active professionals, non athletes, elite athletes, recent college grads and people of all physical abilities.
