I have been playing golf since I was 5. I love it. I have had opportunities to play and teach at some amazing courses. My passion is to make golf accessible to those who have a desire to play. No matter your age or ability, if you have a heart to learn then I am willing to guide you in your golf adventure. Golf is fun and will deliver a lifetime of memories. In every lesson, my hope is that you learn something new, progress and most importantly have fun!
The best part of being a golf coach is watching talent develop before my eyes. Raw talent is especially fun to develop. I have seen it in the very young as well as in the very mature.
Coach Beaver is an excellent golf coach! He knows how to break things down so that you can get it. He does this while motivating you. You learn and you have fun at that same time!
Glen has been coaching my son in group and private settings for over a year now. My son is 6 and he loves golf more and more as each day passes because he respects and appreciates the encouragement he gets from Coach Glen. I was spending so much time at the golf course with him that I decided to start playing again after 11 years. I can honestly say that Glen has a special gift for teaching. He is very patient and so creative when trying to explain concepts. His lessons are always fun and I walk away from each lesson better than I entered.
Within the first lesson Glen was able to help me significantly improve my golf swing. Glen has a wonderful ability to help you focus on what you need to do to improve without being overwhelming. He is fun, patient, and professional. I highly recommend coach Glen.
During the first lesson it is important to establish a relationship first and then to assess the skill level of my student. I find that a 60 minute lesson is the most effective and the best value. Lessons are personalized and offered in a private or a group setting.
I have worked with students ranging from 3 to over 80. I treasure every experience that I get with my students and feel honored to get to know them. It is truly special to get to see them develop into students of the game.
Over the past year, I started coaching a student with down syndrome and he has become one of the highlights of my week. Additionally, I helped another student learn how to play golf with one arm after a stroke left him partially paralyzed.
Golf is supposed to be fun. If you are a beginner give yourself time to learn the basics and have fun while your doing it. If you are not having fun while you are learning then you may need to find a different coach. While price and convenience may be a factor remember that your golf coach should connect with you on a personal level. If you are the type of person who needs to know the exact equation for how far back to take your club for each shot find a coach who teaches that. If you are easy going, find an easy going coach.
