Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students complete a pre instruction questionnaire. The purpose is to record the goals and needs of each student. After the goals are established a plan of instruction can be tailored to accomodate and accomplish the students goals. Lessons are kept simple and non-complicated. My goal is to get you on the course and having fun.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Played golf in High School. Turned golf prosessional just after High School. Graduated from PGA Business School. Accomplished being Golf Professional/Director of Golf at three different golf facilities in USA. Created three different golf related companies and golf learning centers.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have various price schedules and programs for individuals and/or groups. My price schedules can be reviewed and copied on my website. www.larrywisegolf.com
How did you get started teaching?
Turned professional just after High School and became an Assistant Golf Professional with PGA training. Starting teaching golfers of all ages.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with any and all ages both Male and Female. I have worked with juniors. I have worked with PGA Tour Professionals as well as with Special Needs students. I have also worked with Amputee Golf Assoc. for clinics and seminars.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
2016 High School Team in Nazareth, PA won the state team championship. This group was a group I started with in Middle School and they were working for six years with me in Bethlehem, PA.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you can communicate with your instructor. Make sure your instructor is working totally toward your goals and not trying to sell you on a theory or method to strike a golf ball that doesn't have specific justifications or correlations to physics law. Golf is a simple game of simply swinging a club head around a circle and striking the ball as the club head is swung in mid air aroung your body balance. Keep it simple.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should think thru what they want to accomplish and what goals they have. They should be clear and attainable. Will the instructor help and train the student based on their goals or just offer tips and suggestions for improvement.
