Hi, I'm Ruby! For the past 10 years, my violin has been an integral part of my life. In that time I've performed as a soloist, a competitive ensemble member, a wedding/event entertainer, and even recorded as a studio musician! I moved to Cape Coral in June of 2021 and started working as a local music instructor that same July. I have experience teaching violin, viola, and cello students of all ages and experience levels. I take a classical approach to teaching, making sure all of my students are proficient in reading sheet music and have an ever-expanding knowledge of music theory. I bring 30 years of experience and a love for teaching to each lesson. My main instrument is my voice, but I enjoy teaching piano and flute as well. I have developed my own style of teaching that blends classical technique with modern music selections. I love helping people understand how music works. I also love to see students faces when they nail a song or play a difficult passage. I love learning

Foremost is we fun in learning all aspects of music. Then next we both have to work to have fun. You as a student will have to practice and I as a teacher will have to work to find music that is fun to play and challenging for you to learn. I have a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from University of Colorado and played with the Kansas City Philharmonic. I am currently the church organist for my church.
