What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Evaluate their goals , experience , physical limitations , ect and crest best program to help them become the best golfer they can be .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an LPGA golf professional for over 25 years and have found the most success with every level of golfer starting with short game improvement . The golf swing evolves from putting to chipping to pitching to full swing and when you learn or improve in this order your successes will be great !

How did you get started teaching?
I have been playing golf since I was 3 years old . I started playing in junior golf tournaments at the age of 6 . Went on to play for the boys varsity golf team in school from 7 th - 12 th grade . Played many amateur golf tournaments . Earned a full ride scholarship for golf to Lynn University and won Nationals my last year there. Then turned professional right out of college . I chose the teaching aspect of the golf profession because I love to help others achieve their dreams and goals ! I was asked to start a golf school at Palm Aire Country Club and have been the Director of Instruction and owner of the Golf Academy for the last 21 years .
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all level of students from beginner to professional . All ages from 3 years old to 95 years old and people from all over the world come to my Academy for Golf Instruction. I have many students that have physical challenges such as Parkinson's , blind , stroke victims , Down syndrome , and many with physical limitations such as rotator tears / surgery , hip and knee replacements, open heart surgeries , mastectomies , golf / tennis elbow , arthritis in hands , and back and neck injuries / surgeries .
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please make sure your instructor is qualified . A PGA or LPGA Teaching Professional! Recommendations and referrals are good to look at on web sites and social media .
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What experience the golf professional has had with students having similar physical challenges if any . Length of time the Professional has been teaching and how long they have been at their current location . Think about what your goals are and where you feel your weaknesses are .
