About

This Chubbuck Acting Method is simply about Winning - Winning in spite of and because of your past and of what is holding you back today. It’s about adding clinical phycology and behavioral science to Stanislavsky’s “Method Approach”, by using emotions, pain, and trauma as fuel to impassion the ability to overcome and achieve a level of prosperity.

It consists of 12 steps of a practical way that shows you how to get the most out of your scene study, allowing you to make unique and interesting choices for your characters that inspire hope in you and your audience.

It’s about creating the most DYNAMIC version of people we all aspire to watch and become.

It’s been tried and tested for over 30 years with proven results.

I most enjoy witnessing my students breaking personal barriers and transforming themselves in the most empowering and dynamic version of themselves. They learn how to step out of "victim land" through this method, and soar. I love watching how they find the stimulus to inspire and drive themselves to great achievements both in the studio, on set, on stage and even in their personal lives through this art form.

It's by far the most rewarding part of my job.

I learned about the Chubbuck technique when I was living in South Korea. I attended two of Ivana Chubbucks workshops, one in Japan and one in the Philippines.
I absolutely fell in love with the technique.
However, when I came to Orlando Florida, I started training at a studio that did not teach Chubbuck. And although their technique was very efficient, I wanted something that delved a little bit deeper into your emotions and your psyche.
So, I contacted the Chubbuck studio in LA asking if there was anyone in Florida that taught the Chubbuck technique. And thats when I met Violet Tcherkin.
I love Violet to death, but she and I disagree on things all the time but her willingness to let me speak freely in her classes through my training its probably one of the things that I enjoy the most. Violet is the type of coach that doesnt want her students to be lapdogs. She wants us to speak up and to tell her how we feel. That is not always the case when it comes to an acting coach.
Every time I come to class, I find new vulnerabilities within myself. Thats what I had fell in love with overseas with the Chubbuck technique and what Im learning to love more.
Violet doesnt pull punches with us as students, let me rephrase, she doesnt pull punches now. When we first started out, she had a little bit of kid gloves. But now that shes gotten to know us, shes able to look at us and just be blunt about what she thinks is most effective when it comes to making us better actors.
There are days I dont want to be in class. There are days when I think shes crazy. There are days when I literally want to turn off the computer and just walk away but to me it wouldnt be acting if you didnt have all of those emotions.
Violet is great at teaching this technique, shes found a way to teach it with her own flair. And shes a damn good coach because of it!

My experience with Tcherkin studios has been nothing short of amazing!
Violet made learning the Chubbuck technique a breeze.
Taking her Intro to Chubbuck Technique class has really not only made me a strong, confident actor, but person as well!
The Chubbuck technique has genuinely helped me communicate and understand my feelings better.
This techniques foundation is authenticity and during my session with Violet I was able to grow as a human being and truly realize that goals are honestly what propels human beings. This experience has truly changed my life, and I am excited for whats to come in the future as I take more sessions!
    Violet YOU are amazing!

    Frequently asked questions

A typical prosess for working with a new student is an initial call where I get the chance to investigate what sits at the heart of each aspiring or working actor. That gives the actor the chance to see me, talk to me and vibe if working with me would be inspiring for them and the right fit. And, only then, we will create the next step in their personal journey.

You can find my story on www.tcherkinstudio.com

Type of classes and repsective pricing is determine after our first chat.

I have been a student of life and craft since the age of 5. I can honestly say I have been a teacher and a mentor for as long as I can remember.

    Ages 10 to 65

Watching my students achieve incredible results in their personal lives. Oh man. The method rubs off.

Get a personal feel for them. Ask them million questions and be fearless wtih your intentions. You matter!

When I was looking for a pediatrician for my child, I went to meet many before making my final pick. The one I hired was the one who guided me through this completely new process for me. I was left with nothing to ask. The one most important part for me is that you get the chance to ask again.

Be authentic and don't ever fear that the question in your mind and/or heart is not important. It always is! If you have one, ask it. This is about you. You know best what your needs are. Believe!
