Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Keeping it simple. One step at a time and working with what they currently posses as far as athletic ability.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught tennis for over 25 years. My training began early on at Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy were I trained both as a student and a coach. I have played high school tennis as well as some college but my main focus turned into a natural ability to teach.
I became a USPTA certified tennis pro back in the 90's and been certified in various coaching coarses.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The standard pice is what the facility charges:
$60 for hr
$30 for 1/2 hour
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and all levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a pro who can PATIENTLY and ENTHUSIATICALLY teach you a great lesson. One who can help you build confidence and motivation towards developing your game. One who can consistently help you practice and strive to make progress. Once you have found that pro...stay with him. Good pros are hard to find and the good ones will help you yield positive results.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much are they willing to commit? Tennis is a technical spot. It can learned very easily but one needs to be consistent with their practivce. Its like thee old saying goes' "practice makes perfect."
